Tram contactless pay as you go
If you’re travelling for a single journey or for multiple journeys in one day or across a week, you can pay as you go by touching-in and touching-out at a smart reader using your contactless payment card or device. We’ll work out the adult single or travelcard prices for your journeys, up to a daily and weekly cap.
Bee Network app
Use our new app to:
- Plan any journey using public transport (bus, tram and train) and active travel – (walking, wheeling or cycling). The journey planner will also show Park and Ride options.
- Get live departure times for local bus, tram and train stops and stations.
- Buy tram tickets, Bee AnyBus travelcards, and Bee AnyBus + Tram travelcards, using Google and Apple Pay.
- See travel alerts for tram, bus, train and road.
- Rate your journey.
- Get contact information.
Smart cards
You can buy a range of tickets and travelcards online and store them on a smart card.
Cash and card
You can use cash and card to buy tickets for bus, tram and train journeys across Greater Manchester.
If you don't pay, it will cost you up to £120
You must have a valid ticket when travelling on bus and tram in Greater Manchester.
If you don’t have a valid paper or mobile app ticket, or you don’t touch-in successfully with a smart card, contactless card or contactless device, then you'll be charged up to £120 penalty fare.
